Meet Our Community Partner
BONNIE GRIMSTON, BHP Principal Community Roxby Downs
Bonnie Grimston is a proud Roxby Downs local of nearly nine years and currently serves as BHP’s Principal Community. During her time in the region, she has worked across site in a variety of roles, beginning underground in production driving trucks before progressing through HR support, production engineering, and health.
Along the way, Bonnie led Olympic Dam’s first psychosocial risk assessment, building on her background in Mental Health Occupational Therapy and risk assessment. This experience led her into the role of Health Principal, and later into Asset Safety, where she became BHP’s first Psychosocial Principal, a title she continues to hold with pride.
Today, Bonnie focuses on strengthening connections between BHP and the local community, fostering meaningful partnerships and supporting a thriving Roxby Downs. She is a regular presence at the Innovation Hub, while still spending time on site to stay connected, occasionally even dusting off the oranges.
